Wholesale Account Handler / Broker – London Market

About the role

Build your career in wholesale insurance within a respected London market brokerage. The role supports broker‑to‑broker placements across a range of commercial risks, working closely with underwriters and insurer partners.

Key responsibilities

• Support broker partners with wholesale placements, renewals, and technical queries.
• Manage the end‑to‑end renewal and placement process, including market engagement and negotiation.
• Gather and present risk information to underwriters to secure competitive terms.
• Handle mid‑term adjustments and ensure accurate policy documentation.
• Maintain precise records within Acturis and ensure data accuracy.
• Build strong working relationships with underwriters, insurers, and broker partners.
• Stay up to date with market trends, insurer appetite, and product developments.
• Ensure all work complies with FCA regulations and internal standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Wholesale Account Handler, Wholesale Broker, or in a broker‑to‑broker environment.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products such as Property Owners, Terrorism, Management Liability, and Engineering.
• Experience working within the London market or wholesale insurance sector.
• Confident liaising with underwriters and insurer panels.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple placements.

Required skills

• Experience with the Acturis insurance platform.
