About the role

Our primary school in North‑West Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join the team from September 2026. This full‑time, long‑term supply position offers the chance to develop classroom expertise in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

Create and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment for Year 1 pupils.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and tailored to young learners.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of children with SEND.
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support pupil progress.

Required profile

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Enhanced DBS check (must be on the update service).
Willingness to undertake ongoing training as needed.

Required skills

Knowledge of Key Stage 1 curriculum requirements.
Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
