About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Great Barr, Birmingham. The role starts in September 2026 and is full‑time on a long‑term basis, ideal for an experienced teacher or an ambitious early‑career teacher.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Year 2.
- Create a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment.
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress regularly.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and support staff to enhance learning outcomes.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management abilities.
- Creative and engaging teaching style with a commitment to raising standards.
Required skills
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
- Effective lesson planning and delivery techniques.
- Assessment and progress tracking methods.
