Year 3 Teacher – Primary School (Islington)

About the role

This permanent position is for a Year 3 Teacher in a welcoming primary school located in Islington. The successful candidate will join a supportive community that values high‑quality teaching, pupil wellbeing and continuous professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for Lower Key Stage 2.
• Support pupils transitioning from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2, monitoring progress and adapting instruction.
• Use assessment data to inform individual learning plans and track attainment.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes good behaviour and high expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and senior leaders to uphold teaching standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, preferably within a Year 3 class.
• Strong knowledge of the Lower Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Commitment to pupil wellbeing and professional development.
