Year 6 Teacher & Year Group Lead – Perry Barr

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, fully‑qualified primary teacher to join a thriving school in Perry Barr. In this dual role you will deliver high‑quality teaching to Year 6 pupils while also leading the year group, supporting colleagues and driving outstanding learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess the Year 6 curriculum in line with national standards.
• Lead the Year 6 team, providing guidance, mentorship and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with parents, senior staff and the wider school community to support pupil progress.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives, safeguarding and pastoral care.
• Maintain accurate records and produce regular progress reports.

Required profile

• Fully qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching Year 6.
• Proven leadership ability and a track record of supporting a teaching team.
• Passion for inspiring pupils and raising standards of teaching and learning.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
