Air Consulting Manager

About the role

Amex GBT's Consulting team helps clients manage their travel spend through business and operational strategy, strategic sourcing and program optimisation. The Air practice covers corporate air programme strategy design and execution, and this position focuses on supporting global air consulting projects across several clients while leading smaller regional engagements. The role suits a self-starter with consulting, project management and industry experience.

Key responsibilities

• Complete multi-workstream engagements, prioritise client requests and use project management methods such as project plans and issue logs
• Deliver outputs within agreed scope, quality standards and timeframes
• Develop hypotheses and identify data to evaluate against client needs
• Create options and alternatives and give recommendations in the context of the whole engagement
• Build strong working relationships with all key partners and distil complex subject matter into clear messages for clients and the team

Required profile

• Experience and understanding of the airline industry is a must
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• PMI certification is a plus
• Relevant air travel experience, such as with an airline, procurement or strategic sourcing
• Ability to accommodate client travel up to 20%

Required skills

• Understanding of airline pricing and inventory management
• Familiarity with data visualisation and reporting tools such as Tableau
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including presenting and building a story
