Associate Engineer – Construction Engineering (London)

About the role

We’re looking for an Associate Engineer to join our Design team in London. The role supports the Construction Engineering team in delivering complex construction engineering services, ensuring solutions are safe, buildable and meet client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Agree technical requirements with clients, develop fee proposals and lead day‑to‑day workload of engineers and technical staff.
• Oversee production of design deliverables such as calculations, drawings, reports and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and company QMS.
• Identify and implement value‑engineering opportunities and manage project financials, programme and budget.
• Provide leadership to direct and indirect reports, conduct inductions, performance reviews and promote best practice.
• Develop and maintain digital competency, creating engineering spreadsheets and calculation templates to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Chartered member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CEng, MICE) with significant industry experience.
• Proven experience designing temporary works and delivering construction engineering solutions.
