About the role
The Catering Manager will own the day‑to‑day operations of a corporate catering service located at The Market, 22 Bishopsgate. Working within the Rhubarb team, you will ensure smooth service delivery from briefings and meeting‑room set‑up to café management, stock control and reporting, while acting as the primary liaison for the corporate client.
Key responsibilities
- Lead daily operations including briefings, allergen labelling, staffing rotas and café presentation.
- Serve as the main contact for bespoke client requirements and participate in weekly events meetings.
- Manage stock control, conduct weekly inventory checks and communicate shortages or equipment issues promptly.
- Identify service gaps, propose practical improvements and report them to the line manager.
- Maintain health and safety standards, perform weekly equipment checks and keep team training up to date.
- Utilise on‑site IT systems to generate and submit end‑of‑day reports.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Catering Manager or Hospitality Manager, preferably in corporate or contract catering.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities.
- Ability to lead a team and uphold high service standards.
