Chef de Partie – Full‑time Kitchen Position

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Chef de Partie to join the culinary team at Copthorne Hotel Newcastle. Working full‑time (40 hours per week) in a busy hotel kitchen, you will run your own section, prepare high‑quality dishes and support junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and plate dishes to the hotel’s standards, following recipe cards and allergen guidelines.
• Lead and mentor junior chefs during service, ensuring smooth operations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of government health and food safety legislation, including HACCP, and perform required quality and safety checks.
• Manage stock levels, store food safely, and minimise waste.
• Ensure kitchen equipment and work environment remain hygienic and fully functional.

Required profile

• Passion for food and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong leadership temperament, able to run service in the absence of senior chefs.
• Commitment to delivering consistent, high‑quality products.
