Construction Manager - EPC Projects

About the role

Bilfinger UK is looking for a Construction Manager in Alrewas to manage the development and delivery of EPC activities against agreed targets for time, cost, quality and HSE. The post requires extensive civil and electrical experience, site construction management and execution, tender assessment, stakeholder engagement and familiarity with NEC4 contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Give safety, health and environmental protection the highest priority and lead the project HSE team through construction and commissioning
• Act under the CDM Regulations and manage construction hazards
• Set up quality systems for controlling construction information and identify and manage key construction risks
• Lead the construction team and liaise with the customer's plant personnel so the construction plan matches current standards and local requirements
• Support commissioning and define the construction estimate, managing expenditure within the agreed budget
• Ensure construction meets quality standards supported by agreed test requirements and keep the Project Manager and other project managers informed of progress and issues

Required profile

• Extensive experience in EPC construction contracts; E&C&I bias desirable
• Experience managing budgets and financial controls, and subcontractor management
• Experience with early works and interaction with design, engineering and constructability
• SMSTS training (essential)
• Temporary Works Coordination

Required skills

• NEC4 knowledge (NEC4 Accredited Project Manager desirable)
• CSCS card and SCOFF 91 certification (desirable)
• APMP accreditation (desirable)
• HND/C in a relevant discipline
