Cruise Ship Doctor – Medical Care for Guests & Crew

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Doctor to provide comprehensive medical care aboard a cruise ship, serving both guests and crew. The role involves delivering emergency, acute, preventive, and chronic care while supporting outbreak prevention and compliance with international health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emergency and general medical care to guests and crew.
• Perform minor surgical procedures and manage fractures.
• Oversee preventive medicine, chronic condition management, and outbreak control.
• Report medical cases to appropriate authorities and assist senior medical leadership with shipboard health matters.
• Participate in drills, life‑saving procedures, and other operational duties as required.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Active medical license in good standing.
• Minimum three years of acute‑care clinical experience.
• Guest‑focused, professional, and team‑oriented attitude.
• Ability to work seven days a week and live in close quarters.
• Physically able to stand, walk long distances, lift up to 50 lb, and perform emergency duties.
