About the role
We are seeking a reliable Driver to join NHS Scotland’s logistics team. The role involves operating vehicles to transport goods, supplies and patients safely across the health service network.
Key responsibilities
- Drive a range of NHS vehicles to deliver medical supplies, equipment and patient transport services.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods and patients to designated locations.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct routine checks and report any issues.
- Comply with all road safety regulations and NHS policies, including infection control and patient confidentiality.
- Complete required documentation for each journey and update logistics records.
Required profile
- Valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class required.
- Current PVG Scheme membership or willingness to obtain it before starting.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
Required skills
- Safe and efficient vehicle operation.
- Knowledge of road traffic laws and NHS transport procedures.
