Driver – Logistics & Transport for NHS Scotland

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Driver to join NHS Scotland’s logistics team. The role involves operating vehicles to transport goods, supplies and patients safely across the health service network.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a range of NHS vehicles to deliver medical supplies, equipment and patient transport services.
• Ensure timely and safe delivery of goods and patients to designated locations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct routine checks and report any issues.
• Comply with all road safety regulations and NHS policies, including infection control and patient confidentiality.
• Complete required documentation for each journey and update logistics records.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class required.
• Current PVG Scheme membership or willingness to obtain it before starting.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Required skills

• Safe and efficient vehicle operation.
