Flexible Administrator / Crisis Worker – 12 hrs/week

About the role
The Flexible Administrator/Crisis Worker provides vital support to victims of sexual assault attending the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) in North Yorkshire. Working 12 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern, you will act as the first point of contact, guide patients through the forensic process and help manage their care pathways.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for service users and their families.
- Administer and support the intake process, including preparing patients and assisting with forensic evidence collection.
- Support the SARC Manager in day‑to‑day centre operations.
- Maintain high standards of DNA anti‑contamination between cases.
- Assist patients and coordinate with police, NHS, ISVA and social services.
- Act as an advocate for patients during their time at the SARC.
Required profile
- Good IT skills.
- Experience working in a supportive or customer‑focused environment.
- Knowledge of safeguarding children and adults.
- Understanding of confidentiality requirements.
- Experience completing administrative duties.
