Graduate Civil Engineer – Derby

About the role

Rodgers Leask is seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Derby team. You will be involved in a variety of civil engineering schemes from concept through to construction, gaining hands‑on experience across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers on the design and delivery of civil engineering projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports and calculations under supervision.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop cost‑effective, buildable solutions.
• Support site inspections and contribute to project documentation.
• Participate in the Graduate Training Programme and ICE training scheme.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering (2:1 or above) or final‑year student working towards this qualification.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Enthusiastic about learning and progressing in a civil engineering career.
• Problem‑solver who works well in a collaborative environment.
