HGV Class 2 Driver – Skip Hire & Trade Waste

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated HGV Class 2 Driver to join Panda Waste in Ashbourne. You will operate modern HGV Class 2 vehicles, including skip loaders and RoRo trucks, to collect and transport commercial waste, supporting our sustainable resource recovery mission.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate trade waste, skip and RoRo vehicles across various customer sites.
• Plan efficient routes to maximise productivity.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure sites are left tidy after collection.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and promptly report any defects.
• Maintain accurate records using a digital tablet.
• Adhere to all transport safety and waste management regulations.

Required profile

• Valid Category C licence.
• Current Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience operating skip loaders or trade waste vehicles is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge of routes in Derbyshire and surrounding areas.
• Safety‑focused and customer‑centric approach.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks associated with skip and waste collections.

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £17.
• Attendance bonus of £25 and an additional £25 for daily vehicle checks.
• Full‑time permanent position, Monday–Friday with early starts around 5 am.
