Junior Cybersecurity Threat Researcher

About the role

Join KnowBe4's Threat Research Lab as a Junior Cybersecurity Threat Researcher, supporting the deployment and configuration of security solutions and helping protect organizations from emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in deploying and maintaining cybersecurity products in lab environments.
• Support inventory management of licenses and updates.
• Collaborate with team members on various cybersecurity projects.
• Review, understand, and reverse‑engineer attacks and related technologies.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to influence tactical and strategic direction.
• Provide Sales, Marketing, Product and Engineering teams with up‑to‑date threat intelligence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Internship experience or up to one year of experience in cybersecurity preferred.
• Basic understanding of Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and threat analysis.
• Familiarity with scripting for task automation.
• Detail‑oriented and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience analyzing malicious URLs and phishing emails.
