About the role

As a Kitchen Assistant at a Barchester care home you will help deliver first‑class food and hospitality, ensuring residents receive nutritious meals that support their wellbeing. You will work alongside a dedicated team to create a pleasant dining experience for every resident.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to dietary requirements.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Support the kitchen team in stock management and equipment upkeep.
• Help serve meals and interact positively with residents during dining times.

Required profile

• Reliable, considerate and caring attitude.
• Willingness to maintain the highest standards of food preparation.
• No formal qualifications required; experience in a commercial or care‑home kitchen is a plus.
