Mechanical Engineer – Night Shift (Permanent)

About the role

This permanent night‑shift position is with a leading manufacturing company. The Mechanical Engineer will ensure the plant operates at optimal speed and that production targets are consistently met during the Monday‑Thursday night shift.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out proactive maintenance and manage site preventive maintenance schedules.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical faults across the facility.
• Lead engineering projects such as commissioning, installations and equipment relocations.
• Identify and implement process and machine‑output improvements.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and site legislation.

Required profile

• Completed a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in a mechanical or multi‑skilled role within an industrial environment.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and thrive in a manufacturing setting.
