Production Operative

About the role

You will join a team manufacturing high‑quality concrete products at Marshalls' dual‑block plant in St Ives. The role involves operating specialised machinery, handling stock and ensuring health and safety standards are met on a rotating 12‑hour shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Operate press machinery, hand‑powered tools and shot‑blast equipment to produce concrete blocks.
• Drive forklift trucks and other mobile plant to move stock around the site.
• Follow health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Work on a 12‑hour days/nights rotation, including overtime when required.

Required profile

• Experience in a busy production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential.
• Forklift truck licence or experience operating forklift trucks is advantageous.
• Good team spirit and flexibility to work shift rotations, including nights.
• Basic computer literacy.
• IOSH or similar safety qualification is a plus.
