Travel Consultant

About the role

Join Auria Travel’s retail store as a Travel Consultant, delivering expert travel advice and outstanding customer service. You will be the first point of contact for customers in‑store, by phone and via digital channels, helping them turn enquiries into confirmed bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional, personalised travel advice aligned with customer requirements.
• Convert enquiries into accurate bookings, handling pricing, documentation and after‑sales service.
• Achieve individual and team sales and performance targets.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of travel products, destinations, dynamic packaging options and cruise offerings.
• Handle customer communications across face‑to‑face, phone, email and digital platforms.
• Support store operations including visual merchandising, stock control and cleanliness.
• Use internal and supplier systems to search, quote and confirm bookings efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with data protection, financial handling and booking terms.
• Build rapport to encourage repeat business and loyalty.
• Assist with marketing and promotional activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a retail travel agency or similar sales environment within the last 5 years.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and deliver excellent customer service.
• Availability to work a shift pattern including weekends.
• Passion for travel and awareness of current industry trends.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
