Android Engineer – Kotlin & Jetpack Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Android Engineer on a contract basis to join a global consulting firm’s Card Payments project. The role runs until the end of 2026, based in London with a hybrid working pattern (three days onsite per week).

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Android applications using Kotlin, with Java support for legacy components.
• Implement Jetpack libraries and MVI architecture to deliver robust, maintainable code.
• Integrate REST APIs and work with API documentation to enable seamless backend communication.
• Maintain build pipelines with Gradle and manage CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions and CircleCI.
• Apply asynchronous programming techniques such as Coroutines, Flows and RxJava.
• Write and execute automated tests using Espresso, JUnit and WireMock.

Required profile

• Contract position (until 2026) paid up to £520 per day, Inside IR35 via Umbrella.
• Based in London, hybrid working (three days onsite).
• Strong experience in Kotlin development and familiarity with Java.
