Assistant Manager Audit Assurance & Accounting

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to lead audit assurance and accounting engagements, ensuring compliance with IFRS, FRS, IAS and ISA‑UK standards. The role involves planning, executing and reporting assignments while driving continuous improvement and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Guide audit and accounting assignments in line with international financial reporting and audit standards.
• Ensure legal compliance and adherence to the firm’s methodology.
• Supervise and evaluate team performance, conduct appraisals and foster collaboration.
• Monitor timesheets and budgets to improve efficiency.
• Promote professional development through training, software skill enhancement and knowledge of regulatory changes.
• Contribute to firm‑wide objectives and undertake additional tasks as required.

Required profile

• CA/ACA qualification with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Previous experience in a Big 4 or a reputable accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, audit standards and relevant legal requirements.
• Excellent communication, time‑management and organisational abilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP ERP or Oracle Financials.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
