Business Development Manager – Industrial & Commercial Utility Connections

About the role

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to lead the acquisition of new utility connections across water, gas and electricity for industrial and commercial clients. The role is remote‑based in the North of England with regular travel to client sites and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities in utility connections (water, gas, electricity).
• Drive growth within the Industrial & Commercial (I&C) market segment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts.
• Track and achieve commercial targets and KPIs.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience in new utility connections (gas, electricity, water).
• Strong background selling to industrial and commercial sectors.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Self‑motivated, organised and results‑driven.
• Existing network in the utility sector is preferred.
