Carpet Fitter / Floor Layer – London (2 positions)

About the role

Linney Cooper is seeking two experienced Carpet Fitters/Floor Layers to join its established team in Central/South West London. This permanent, full‑time position offers a stable, long‑term career working on prestigious commercial, residential and heritage projects across the UK and worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Install carpet, LVT, vinyl and other flooring materials to the highest standards.
• Remove existing flooring and prepare sub‑floors for new installations.
• Accurately measure and prepare floor areas.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Travel to London sites and to projects across the UK and overseas.
• Communicate professionally with clients and deliver excellent service.
• Collaborate with the team to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience installing carpet, LVT and vinyl.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Eligible to pass an enhanced DBS check.
• High standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, reliable and well‑presented.
