Clinical Receptionist

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Clinical Receptionist to join our GP at Hand clinics across London. You will be the first point of contact for patients, clinicians and visitors, delivering a professional and courteous service while supporting the smooth operation of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the reception area and act as the primary liaison between the practice and each clinic location.
• Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls, email, and post, ensuring timely responses.
• Book, reschedule and confirm patient appointments, including interpreter services.
• Process medical records, manage document flow, conduct audits and maintain stock levels.
• Label and organise patient samples for courier collection.
• Provide information to potential patients about NHS registration with GP at Hand.
• Support clinicians and the rota team by maintaining clear communication channels.
• Cover other London clinics on short notice as required.
• Adhere to health‑and‑safety, confidentiality and data‑security policies.

Required profile

• Previous receptionist experience, preferably in a public‑facing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑starter attitude with ownership of tasks.
