Commercial Analyst – Energy Networks

About the role

The Commercial Analyst will join SPD Energy Networks within ScottishPower, supporting the Commercial & Performance team. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, analysing supplier data, producing reports and helping drive commercial performance across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, organise and statistically analyse data from multiple systems and present findings in clear, user‑friendly formats.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to understand data requirements and business needs.
• Manage ad‑hoc requests, value‑add projects and maintain the team mailbox efficiently.
• Review monthly Statements of Accounts for all suppliers.
• Support districts in the use of SAP and related business processes.
• Document local working procedures to enable knowledge sharing within the team.
• Contribute to achieving overall business objectives and pursue personal development.

Required profile

• Strong communication and influencing skills across organisational levels.
• Attention to detail with well‑developed planning and organisational abilities.
• Understanding of finance procedures and commercial markets.
• Ability to solve complex problems using numeracy and financial management skills.
