Customer Experience Advisor – Retail Banking (Southampton)

About the role
Join Santander’s Southampton branch as a Customer Experience Advisor, delivering friendly, reliable service to our retail banking customers. Working 35 hours per week on a rotating schedule, you will be the first point of contact for customers in‑branch and over the phone.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for customers, handling cash transactions, inquiries and service requests.
- Assist customers with banking technology, guide them through digital tools and protect them from fraud.
- Answer inbound calls to the contact centre and provide accurate information.
- Build relationships, identify customer needs and propose suitable solutions.
- Continuously develop knowledge of Santander’s products and services.
- Suggest and implement improvements to enhance the overall customer experience.
Required profile
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Flexible, multi‑skilled and comfortable working in a fast‑paced branch environment.
- Ability to work a rota covering Monday to Saturday between 8 am and 6 pm.
- Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
