Deputy Site Manager – Retail Store

About the role

As a Deputy Site Manager at Asda Express you will be a visible, hands‑on leader who brings heart, pride and “Asdaness” into the store each day. Working closely with the Store Manager you will help create a supportive environment where colleagues feel valued and customers enjoy a warm, effortless experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading and developing a motivated team.
• Drive sales, maintain high standards and deliver brilliant service.
• Lead the store independently when required.
• Maintain safety and compliance, including PFS and forecourt operations.
• Support colleague development, training and on‑the‑job coaching.
• Deliver day‑to‑day people management professionally and fairly.
• Promote an inclusive culture where everyone feels confident and proud.

Required profile

• Retail experience with strong commercial understanding.
• A positive, supportive leader who sets the tone on the shop floor.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced environments.
• Professional approach to people processes.
• Strong commitment to safety, service and operational standards.
