Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Design Engineer to join a specialist aerospace manufacturer. The role supports tooling, CAD documentation and engineering processes within a highly regulated environment, ideal for an up‑and‑coming engineer with 2+ years’ experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design work (approximately 40% of time) focusing on aerospace tooling.
• Produce and maintain CAD documentation.
• Handle engineering administration and documentation tasks (approximately 60% of time).
• Support engineering processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in design or engineering.
• Background in engineering or manufacturing.
• Relevant qualification such as an apprenticeship, HNC, degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong organisational skills and a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software, preferably CATIA (any CAD package considered).

What we offer

• Salary between £35,000 and £45,000 per year.
• Hybrid working arrangement.
• Flexible hours with an early finish on Fridays.
