DevOps Engineer – 12‑month contract in London

About the role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our London team on a 12‑month contract. You will work on building and maintaining modern infrastructure, helping shape the architecture while delivering reliable, scalable services.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and operate workloads on Kubernetes clusters, both shared and managed.
• Containerise applications, write Dockerfiles, manage images and troubleshoot container issues.
• Provision, harden and maintain RHEL (or equivalent enterprise Linux) systems.
• Manage cloud infrastructure in private or hybrid environments using IaC tools.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in Bash and Python.
• Implement and monitor observability solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog.
• Diagnose incidents, analyse logs and metrics to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a DevOps, infrastructure or platform engineering role.
• Hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker and Linux system administration.
• Strong networking knowledge including DNS, TLS/SSL, firewalls, load balancing and VPNs.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Puppet.
• Ability to work in evolving architectural environments and contribute to design decisions.
