About the role
This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to join the Communications team at Healthcare Improvement Scotland. You will work remotely, supporting the redesign and ongoing maintenance of the organisation’s digital presence, including the corporate website.
Key responsibilities
- Create, format, edit and publish user‑focused web content across multiple platforms.
- Maintain and develop the web estate using content management systems such as WordPress, Umbraco, Alterian Immediacy CMC and SharePoint.
- Train and support staff across the organisation to update their own web pages.
- Produce a range of digital assets including website copy, high‑quality video, audio podcasts, email campaigns and graphics.
- Distribute digital content via channels such as YouTube, Vimeo and the corporate website.
- Identify technical issues, liaise with external contractors and contribute to new functionality.
Required profile
- Degree‑level education in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary communications environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to organise complex information into clear web content.
