Elective Bookings Officer

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Elective Bookings Officer to join the Surgery Waiting List Bookings Team at Frimley Park Hospital. The post is based at the Greenwood Offices, Heatherwood Hospital and involves booking and rescheduling inpatient elective procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Book and reschedule inpatient elective procedures for the Surgery Waiting List Booking Team.
• Handle internal and external telephone enquiries with professionalism.
• Collect, record and maintain accurate patient and booking data.
• Monitor and contribute to the achievement of local and national performance targets.
• Work both independently and collaboratively within the team to ensure smooth operation of the booking service.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible, proactive approach with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality patient service.

Required skills

• ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 2 Administration or equivalent practical knowledge.
