Staff Nurse – Private Patients (9‑month secondment)

About the role

The Parkside Suite Heatherwood is a private patient unit within Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, offering high‑standard care across ten in‑patient rooms. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse for a 9‑month secondment to join a supportive, friendly team on a mixed‑speciality ward.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care programmes independently.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing practice, ensuring compliance with Trust policies and the NMC Code of Conduct.
• Collaborate with medical, primary care, and social services staff to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Manage a designated caseload, coordinating each patient’s journey from admission to discharge and monitoring progress against critical pathways.
• Maintain equipment safety and functionality within the department.
• Provide day‑to‑day patient assistance, support high‑demand areas, and uphold quality nursing standards.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Strong communication and customer‑care skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying shift patterns and patient needs.
