Endoscopy Practitioner – 7‑Month Fixed‑Term Role

About the role

Circle Health Group is seeking an Endoscopy Practitioner for a 7‑month fixed‑term contract at Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield. This full‑time position offers 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern, supporting the delivery of high‑quality endoscopic care.

Key responsibilities

• Support the endoscopy team in delivering compassionate, patient‑centred care.
• Maintain and improve clinical and technical competence in endoscopy procedures and decontamination.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and act as a patient safety advocate.
• Contribute to safeguarding initiatives and continuously enhance the patient experience.

Required profile

• Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
• Basic and advanced competence in endoscopy care and decontamination.
• Completion of an Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
• Teaching, assessing or mentorship qualifications.
• Knowledge of CQC, GRS, JAG and HTM 01‑06 standards.
• Experience in minor operations, scrub, or circulating roles is desirable.
