Financial Controller – London Market MGA

About the role

I am partnered with an ambitious London Market MGA to recruit a Financial Controller on an initial six‑month contract, with a clear pathway to a permanent position. The role will support upcoming group reporting and audit commitments and is ideal for candidates who can start immediately or within a few weeks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial reporting including month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close, statutory accounts, tax filings and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Lead continuous improvement of finance processes, controls and accounting policies.
• Oversee all taxation matters, including direct and indirect taxes and management reporting.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, including implementation of new finance and underwriting systems.
• Develop and mentor the finance team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with 5+ years post‑qualified experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Proven experience within the London Market MGA sector.
• Strong financial reporting skills with experience of finance systems implementations and driving process improvements.
