Financial Controller – Renewable Energy (London)

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing international renewable energy business to hire a Financial Controller for its expanding UK operations. This commercially focused position offers exposure to reporting, planning, treasury, tax and audit in a high‑growth, project‑led environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, support statutory reporting and group consolidation.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, delivering insightful management reports.
• Manage cash flow across multiple entities, oversee banking relationships and treasury operations.
• Oversee VAT and tax compliance, coordinate with external advisors and identify tax efficiencies.
• Support internal control frameworks, coordinate year‑end audit activities and drive finance process improvements.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with a strong academic background.
• Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, investment or asset management.
• Proven financial modelling and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Hands‑on experience managing treasury, banking relationships and cash flow.
• Proactive, adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment; additional European language skills are a plus.
