About the role
Pearson is seeking a qualified teacher to act as an examiner for the new GCSE German specification. The role involves marking candidate responses remotely, primarily using the ePEN digital marking platform, with a short period of paper‑based marking when required.
Key responsibilities
- Mark scripts accurately and consistently according to the pre‑defined mark scheme.
- Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader at designated times.
- Meet all marking milestones and deadlines.
- Complete required administrative tasks as specified.
Required profile
- At least one academic year of recent teaching experience (within the last 8 years) in German.
- Qualified teacher status and a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
- High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme correctly.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
