Group Legal Counsel

About the role

We are a leading independent telecommunications infrastructure company operating an extensive tower portfolio across Africa and the Middle East. The Group Legal Counsel will join the Group Legal team in London, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, to provide commercial legal support across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate customer, supplier and commercial agreements.
• Advise internal stakeholders on legal risk, contractual obligations and commercial considerations.
• Support strategic initiatives such as financing transactions, M&A activities and business development projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver commercially focused legal solutions.
• Manage legal documentation and ensure contractual compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of legal governance processes and standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 2–4 years post‑qualification experience.
• Training experience from a leading international law firm or in‑house legal environment; prior in‑house experience is a plus.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• LLB (or equivalent) from an internationally recognised university and completion of LPC or SQE.
