Head of BRPD

About the role

This senior position leads the Building Regulations and Planning Department (BRPD) for a commercial consultancy serving high‑profile global investors and corporate occupiers. Based in London, you will have autonomy to build client relationships, shape service delivery and sit on the senior management team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the BRPD team, overseeing work allocation, resource planning and financial performance.
• Manage service delivery across a wide commercial client portfolio, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
• Conduct building‑regulations design reviews throughout design and construction phases.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers and contractors to resolve pre‑construction information gaps.
• Drive business development, cross‑selling BRPD services with other business units.
• Maintain strong client communication and meet fee targets.

Required profile

• Degree or Level 6 qualification.
• Full (Certified) Registered Building Inspector.
• Demonstrable knowledge of UK Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
• Proven team‑leadership experience in a commercial environment.
• Excellent client communication and commercial acumen.
