Head of Communications

About the role

The Bible Society is seeking a Head of Communications to lead high‑impact, multi‑channel campaigns that shape public conversation about the Bible. Based in Swindon with hybrid working, you will develop and execute an integrated communications strategy at a pivotal cultural moment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive a bold, integrated communications strategy for both external and internal audiences.
• Lead the creation and delivery of PR campaigns, media relations, digital engagement and reputation management initiatives.
• Oversee editorial quality, storytelling, and internal messaging across the organisation.
• Manage and develop a multidisciplinary communications team.
• Support senior leaders, including the Chief Executive, in communicating with confidence and impact.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale PR and communications campaigns.
• Ability to navigate complex cultural and theological issues with clarity and sensitivity.
• Strong strategic insight and cultural intelligence.
• Legal right to work and remain in the UK.
