Social Media Content Producer – Fixed‑Term (12‑month maternity cover)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) UK is seeking a Social Media Content Producer on a 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover. You will create short‑form, social‑first video and multimedia content that amplifies the IRC’s humanitarian mission and engages both B2C and B2B audiences across platforms such as Instagram, Bluesky, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn.

Key responsibilities

• Produce, edit and publish short‑form videos, graphics and copy tailored for each social channel.
• Manage publishing calendars and ensure timely distribution of campaign and evergreen content.
• Collaborate with the Global Digital Engagement team and cross‑market partners to source, package and amplify stories.
• Monitor performance metrics, adapt content to cultural moments and optimise for reach and engagement.
• Maintain brand consistency while reflecting IRC’s core values and humanitarian focus.

Required profile

• Passionate storyteller with a strong understanding of what drives social media performance.
• Proactive, culturally aware and able to work across international teams.
• Experience generating social‑first ideas and delivering content that resonates with diverse audiences.
