Health Visitor – Children and Families

About the role

The Health Visitor will join the Children and Families Health Visiting team, delivering needs‑led, evidence‑based care to children, young people and their families. Working closely with health partners and other agencies, you will help families achieve the best possible start in life.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based health visiting care to a designated caseload.
• Collaborate with health professionals and partner organisations to support families.
• Assess family needs, develop care plans and monitor outcomes.
• Contribute to multi‑agency meetings and share best practice.

Required profile

• Registered Health Visitor or Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems and function as part of a team.
• Valid car driver’s licence.

Required skills

• IT skills – word processing, email and internet use.
