About the role

The Heart of House Specialist – Kitchen Porter supports the smooth operation of the hotel’s food‑and‑beverage and housekeeping areas. Working at Marriott Hotel Canary Wharf, you will ensure kitchens, dining rooms and laundry spaces are clean, well‑stocked and ready for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining ware across all hotel outlets.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing machines, hand‑wash stations, and linen washers/dryers.
• Transport dishes, cookware and linens between kitchen, service areas and laundry.
• Perform manual handling tasks, moving items up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene standards, reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform and conduct policies.

Required profile

• No formal education or previous experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift for extended periods.
• Commitment to safety, quality standards and teamwork.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Dishwashing machine operation.
• Linen washer and dryer operation.
• Use of basic cleaning equipment (e.g., scrubbers, vacuums).
