IT Support Engineer (1st/2nd Line) – North Manchester

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to join our growing technical team in North Manchester. This 1st/2nd line position offers the chance to develop your technical expertise, work on varied client projects and progress towards a 3rd line role.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support to a diverse client base across the Northwest.
• Manage and resolve support tickets within agreed service levels.
• Answer support calls and deliver excellent customer service.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and networking issues.
• Support Microsoft 365 environments, including SharePoint and Intune administration.
• Maintain Windows desktop and server environments.
• Deliver onsite support to client locations when required.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, deployments and project work.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to expand technical knowledge.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a 1st/2nd line IT support role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, customer‑focused attitude with confidence in phone and face‑to‑face interactions.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and a willingness to learn.
• Full UK driving licence.
