Junior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are a global technology organisation delivering platforms for the financial services sector and are currently undergoing a major cloud transformation. This hybrid role, based in Bath, combines hands‑on 3rd‑line server support with modern cloud‑first engineering as we continue our AWS migration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 3rd‑line support for Windows and Linux servers, both on‑premise and in the cloud.
• Monitor performance, availability and capacity of infrastructure components.
• Support and accelerate the ongoing AWS migration and related infrastructure improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents.
• Contribute to automation initiatives, CI/CD pipeline enhancements and Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices.

Required profile

• Background in 3rd‑line or infrastructure support.
• Experience working with AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server; Linux experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS and basic networking concepts.
• Ability to write scripts for automation.
