Kitchen Assistant – Pub Kitchen

About the role

The Chequers, a riverside pub on the Avon, is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to join its busy kitchen team. You will work on‑site, supporting the preparation and service of fresh, British‑produced meals throughout the year.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation and plating.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe kitchen environment.
• Follow kitchen safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Support stock management, receiving deliveries and storing supplies correctly.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during peak periods.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Reliability and attention to detail.
