Lecturer – English (0.25 FTE, 8.75 hrs/week)

About the role

You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, engaging English teaching across a range of full‑time and part‑time programmes. You will plan, prepare and assess learning activities while promoting essential skills such as literacy, numeracy and digital capability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons to diverse learner groups.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning activities.
• Promote literacy, numeracy and digital capability.
• Contribute to curriculum planning and support basic and key skills delivery.
• Maximise learner attendance, retention and punctuality.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced professional with strong subject knowledge.
• Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one.
• Understanding of current educational initiatives.
• Creative and innovative approach to developing teaching materials.

Required skills

• Intermediate IT skills, especially Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with learner management systems, student record systems, virtual learning environments and e‑learning platforms (desirable).
