About the role
The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing and performing facilities maintenance across a portfolio of residential properties. This role ensures that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, compliance and overall functionality.
Key responsibilities
- Assign and ensure timely completion of work orders generated from resident service requests, meeting quality standards and NPS targets.
- Diagnose defects, perform repairs, and manage routine upkeep in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Monitor mechanical, electrical and other building services plant to achieve expected life‑span, reporting major defects and cost recommendations to the Facilities Manager.
- Coordinate turnover inspections, schedule vendors and contractors, procure supplies, and verify completed maintenance work.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as local councils, fire services and project managers to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Provide monthly reports on preventive maintenance, lifecycle replacements and contractor performance.
- Inspect work performed by team members and external contractors, assess workmanship and develop corrective action plans.
Required profile
- Proven experience in facilities or property maintenance, preferably within a residential real‑estate environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage work orders, vendor schedules and reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of health, safety and statutory compliance for building services.
- Experience working with external agencies such as councils and fire services.
