Management Accountant – TV (12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑qualified Management Accountant to join a leading UK TV production company specialising in high‑end drama. The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract based in London, reporting to the Finance Manager and supporting both operational and corporate finance functions across multiple production entities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and reconcile company card and float activity, monitoring spend and development project expenditures.
• Take ownership of month‑end processes, including journals, accruals, and year‑end close.
• Work with external bookkeeper to ensure accurate financial postings and manage bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and support statutory accounts preparation with auditors.
• Assist with royalty reporting, cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management.
• Act as a finance business partner to production and development teams, handling queries and resolving payment issues.
• Produce monthly cash‑flow reports, month‑end reporting packs and variance analysis.
• Support corporate reporting, group data uploads and accounting system integrations.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW) with a strong attention to detail.
• Experience of statutory reporting and accounts preparation.
• Ability to work in a fast‑moving, deadline‑driven environment.

Required skills

• ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW qualification (part qualified).
• Proficiency with Sage or similar accounting systems (PMI advantageous).
• Advanced Excel skills for managing large data sets.
